Welcome to TikTok Trendsetter Challenge (the “Site”). The Site is provided and controlled by TikTok Pte Ltd (“TikTok”, “we” or “us”). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use the Site. 1. The types of personal data we use and how we collect it
We collect and use the following information about you: Your Identity Data, including your or your team members” email address, first name, last name, age, phone number, bank account information (for individuals category winners only), job title, designation, country and company name.
We collect this information from you when you use the Site, for example we use your full name and email address to give you secure access to the Site, and we use your or your team members” first name, surname, last name, email address, job title, designation, bank account information (for individuals category winners only), country, company name, age or phone number for verification purposes if you or your team enter the competition, if you or your team win, or if you vote for certain submission of the individual category. We also collect any information you provide to us through the “contact us” button on the Site.
We will indicate where any personal information we have requested is mandatory or optional. We will also explain the consequences should you decide not to provide information which we have indicated is mandatory. In some circumstances this may mean we are unable to enrol you or your team as a participant in the TikTok Trendsetter
2. Cookie Data and Other Device Data Collection Tools
The Site allows TikTok”s access to or storage of information on your device, including but not limited to the basic Google Analytics tracking tools or other similar tracking technologies (collectively “Device Data Collection Tools ” or “DDCTs“). The Site uses DDCTs operated by TikTok or other third parties to collect information about how you use the Site and to track user flow of the Site (“DDCT Information“). The DDCT Information is used to provide measurement services.
- You can switch off GPS location information functionality on your mobile device if you do not wish to share GPS information.
- If you have registered for an account you may access, review, and update certain personal information that you have provided to us by logging into your account and using available features and functionalities.
- Some browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals to websites. Because of differences in how browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.
3. How we use your personal data
We process the information we collect about you in the following ways:
- to authenticate your access to the Site;
- to provide you with our services, including enrolling you or your team as a participant in TikTok Trendsetter Challenge, sending you a prize or allowing you to vote for certain submission;
- for system administration purposes and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
- to monitor your use of our Site and other digital properties to improve the user experience and to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device;
- to provide customer support and ensure we provide a good level of customer service;
- for security and fraud prevention;
- to ensure that our website and digital properties are safe and secure;
- to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

7. The security of your personal data
We take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, for example, by encryption, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted via the Site; any transmission is at your own risk.
We have appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk of varying likelihood and severity for the rights and freedoms of you and other users. However, there are occasions where we are likely to keep this data for longer in accordance with our legal obligations or where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
After you have terminated your use of our Site, we may store your information in an aggregated and anonymised format.
